This is "environmental" news mainly in the sense that it happens outdoors. In the "clean and green" sense, not so much. The annual autumn "tidal bore" along the Qiantang River, 钱塘江, has been a known feature of Hangzhou for centuries but has attracted the world's surfers only in recent years. For some previous installments, see YouTube and Vimeo.
