If you're anything like me, whenever you visit Germany and see cars roar down the Autobahn, you can't help asking yourself: Gee, I wonder what it would be like to land an A-10 "Warthog" right on this road? Or, maybe a F-16 fighter plane or a military transport?
Fortunately, the Defense Department has the answer. Thanks to Carl Malamud's indefatigable FedFlix effort to put government-made videos on line (previously mention when I can dig up the link; his main site here), we have this 1984 DOD footage that shows just how it would look. First 2 minutes of this clip give you the idea.
