Late last month, the New America Foundation had its annual board retreat, featuring policy discussions on several topics. I was the emcee for a panel consisting of Eric Schmidt of Google, Alec Ross of the State Department, and Timothy Wu of Columbia Law School and Slate, on whether the internet was on the whole a tool of oppression or liberation. Most of the sessions were private but this one was webcast live and is now available on the New America site, and below. I thought it was a very interesting discussion. In your copious spare time, see for yourself.
